Intro to: Mosaic Knitting

2 skeins of hand dyed DK weight yarn by The Frosted Stitch + pattern included

Please Bring: Knitting needle size 3.75mm or 4.0mm

"It's not colourwork!" is what I excitedly exclaim whenever someone looks at my mosaic knitting projects and gets immediately intimidated. Mosaic knitting uses two colours, but you are only ever working with one colour across a 2 row repeat, dropping the colour at the end of two rows and picking up your next colour. We will use a combination of knit, purl and slipped stitches to practice the mosaic technique, while learning how to read a chart and apply it to our knitting. We will supply you with a variety of tips and tricks, as well as confidence to work mosaic stitches on your own at home!

Mosaic knitting is NOT colourwork, and it IS tons of fun!

Colour selection can be made at the time of the class, during our Frosted Stitch pop up at Stix and Stones on Saturday November 16.
