Shadfly Season Kit

If you know North Bay, ON at all, then you will know that for a few weeks during the summer months, we get infested with these harmless bugs called Shadflies. They have no mouths and die in 24 hours, but are a sign of vital and healthy lakes!

Shadflies have become a mascot to North Bay, and this colourway was designed to honour them, and the beauty that is North Bay. Our beautiful town is nestled between two lakes, and Shadflies swarm us from Lake Nipissing, which is very close to Downtown and to our shop. The blue represents the lake, the white represents the air these bugs fly through, and the speckles represent the Shads themselves.

Your kit includes 1 skein of 80/20 Merino/Nylon Sock yarn, in the hand dyed colourway “Shadfly Season”, as well as a screen printed drawstring project bag, designed and created right here in North Bay, as well as our in house designed basic sock pattern.
